After reading the memoir "My First Free Summer" by Julia Alvarez, students analyzed Julia Alvarez's character development. They also learned the Elements of Art. They will each create an art piece inspired by Julia's recollection of her life in the Dominican Republic under the dictatorship. The first video is the Elements of Art.
